Environmental Policy 

Products​

• All solid wood sourced for the products we sell is from either FSC or from sustainably managed forests and plantations.

• Most of the products we sell use water based or non-toxic paints and stains.

• All our products are tested to the latest UK, European and International standards for consumer products and toy safety.

 

Our Packaging

• All our postage bags are made from sugar cane, fully biodegradable and Carbon neutral – the carbon dioxide taken from the atmosphere in the growing process, offsets the carbon dioxide emitted through production and transport. 

• Our tissue paper used for wrapping is acid-free and chlorine-free making it 100% recyclable and biodegradable.

• Where possible, our supplier boxes are glue-free, and use soy ink making them easier to fully recycle.

• Most of our supplier cardboard boxes are made from recycled paper.

 

Our Head Office

• All cardboard and paper is recycled.

• All plastics are sent for recycling including soft plastics that are taken to a recycling centre.

• We have solar panels installed to reduce our energy usage.

• We source our electricity from a supplier that promises zero-carbon as standard, so we know our electricity usage never creates CO2 emissions. Most of our electricity comes from renewables like wind and solar, but around a quarter comes from nuclear. This is zero-carbon, but it's not renewable as it uses nuclear fuel.
